An afternoon of live painting set to the rhythms of a deep house soundtrack and accompanied by a group dive into artist Sands Murray-Wassink’s ‘gay’ archive. Together with audience members, Murray-Wassink and long-time collaborators Megan Hoetger and Radna Rumping summon the queer(-ing) force of their Gift Science Archive(opens in a new tab) as a collaborative gesture against erasure.
Is Isolation a Form of Experience? was realized within the frame of Contagious & Queer(opens in a new tab), an interdisciplinary public program organized by curator Simon(e) van Saarloos for the International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam.
